The LACASA Bible Quiz Bee is an annual competition that all the members of Laguna Catholic Schools Association or LACASA participated in held at Canossa College, San Pablo City last August 25, 2017. Catholic schools around Laguna joined in the said event. The delegates from our school were Jamie Rose Bico, Katrina Andrea Pampolina, Kyla Joyce O. Dimaandal, Alyssa Gayle G. Garcia, Allysa Nicole O. Dipasupil, Seankobe I. Cadelino, Samantha Isabel G. Caperiña and Christine Joy Dimayacyac. After the said event, Canossians ranked 5th out of all the participants who joined the said event. All these achievements would not be possible without the help of their coaches – Mrs. Janet Gesmundo, Ms. AJ Go, Ms. Ma. Allaine Fae Leynes, Mrs. Lucy Bujactin and Ms. Ria Mendrez.
The Canossa Dance Company (CDC) once again swept off the dancefloor by joining in the TESA Interpretative Dance with a theme: “Filipino: Wikang Mapagbago” last September 6, 2017 held in Dalubhasaang Lungsod ng San Pablo (DLSP) gymnasium. It was being paticipated by both public and private schools in San Pablo City, Laguna that offers tertiary education to all students. For this year’s event the DLSP was the primary host of the said event.
The CDC were composed of students who greatly showed their passion of dancing to people by performing a great interpretative dance. The dance company was supervised by Mr. Francis Dave Abellano and they ranked 4th place in the said competition. Nevertheless, even though they did not top for this year, still the Canossians are the champions in all our hearts.
Another competition that our dear Canossians excelled at was the TESA Sabayang Pagbigkas. They also participated in the said event which was also held at DLSP. It was done last September 6, 2017. The group were being participated by both Senior High School and College students. Canossians was then coached by Mr. Paquito “Kit” Igot.
Canossians once again showed their best as they joined the TESA Chorale Competition at DLSP last September 6, 2017. They ranked 3rd in the said competion. They were coached by Mr. Gian Valena, Mr. Julius Divina and Mr. Paquito Igot.
Mr. John Dominic Belda of the Grade 11- STEM B got 2nd place in the TESA Poster Making Contest by showcasing his talent for the arts through a well-created poster depicting the theme: “Filipino: Wikang Mapagbago”.
After the TESA competition, here we go again Canossians! We were once again mesmerized as our dearest participants shone in the PRISEA’s Madulang Sabayang Bigsayawit which was held at Laguna State Polytechnic University – San Pablo City Campus last September 9, 2017. The paricipants of the said event were the following: Marcus Gabriel Bondad, Airohn Jeiel Cabugos, Ted Lloyd Angelo Danta, Gerard Jan Andrei Dimayacyac, Jan Jaeron Faraon, Raymarco Reyes, Jimkey Demro Umali, Jianna Alysa Nicole Anejas, Jolyn Bernadette Antonio, Jamaica Avenido, Zhairyl Babaan, Maxine Victoria Belen, Jean Kyla Adrianne Brion, Iralyn Castillo, Lorrene Celerio, Julienne Christen Cresencio, Angeli Jhune Cuello, Lourdes Anne Deangkinay, Rose Antonette Fernandez, Patricia Anne Gatchalian, Janna Micaela Hernandez, Juliana Isabel Lucila, Aerin Madrid, Jallen Rose Manalo, Angelica Kristine Pampolina, Patricia Anne Perez, Natasha Camille Resubal, Sophia Isabel Rubia, Maria Janelle San Jose, Lovely Moirha Sardido, Princess Earbie Simbahan, Ma. Jessella Sorezo, Alycerena Aurie Supeña, Ma. Shanelle Torno and Patricia Ysabelle Velasquez. The class of St. Ignatius was coached by Mr. Paquito Igot and they ranked champion.
Another milestone was achieved by the Canossa Youth Choir. They participated the PRISEA Chorale Competiton (Senior High School Category) which happened last September 9, 2017 at LSPU. Canossians were hailed as the champion in the competition andthey were coached by Mr. Gian Valena, Mr.Julius Divina and Mr. Paquito Igot.
